Foot drop clinic

We provide a range of orthotic devices for foot drop, which can be combined with in house physiotherapy or provided to compliment your current physiotherapy plan.

Because foot drop can be a result of a number of factors, if you haven’t already received a diagnosis for the cause of your foot drop, it is recommended that you see your GP, who will refer you for further tests.

If the cause of your foot drop is already established, then we can begin orthotic or multidisciplinary rehabilitative treatment immediately. We work with the latest innovative treatments and technology and have orthotics that can be used with any shoe or even without shoes at all.

Our treatment

The treatment we provide for foot drop is multidisciplinary and can include orthotics, physiotherapy and podiatry. We aim to:

  • Restore your functionality during walking
  • Improve your muscle tone
  • Improve the strength of your muscles and increase your active movement round your ankle where possible
  • Prevent or reduce any deformity by improving and maintaining your passive range of motion
  • Provide supportive devices for your foot
