What are the indications for use of an insole?

There are many indications for using an insole. These include:

  • Foot pain e.g. arch or heel pain

What is the process to be receive insoles?

The process to receive insoles would be:

  • Assessment
  • Measuring / Casting
  • Fitting
  • Review

Insoles are designed to support the specific needs of an individual consequently your orthotist will complete a full assessment which will include watching how you walk and move, testing your range of motion as well as taking various measurements. To ensure your insoles fully support your feet your orthotist will take a cast or imprint of your foot. This will then be used to manufacture your bespoke insoles. Within the manufacturing process materials will be specifically selected depending on the recommendations of your orthotist.
