Functional foot orthoses are designed to realign your feet and the bones in your legs to ease pain and minimise the risk of injury and gradual wearing of joints. Depending on your needs, functional foot orthoses can be slimline and made out of materials such as carbon fibre or plastics, or they can be softer to allow your feet to adapt more gently.

The process to receive functional foot orthoses would be:

  • Assessment
  • Measuring / Casting
  • Fitting
  • Review

All of our functional foot orthoses are made bespoke to your needs. This allows us to obtain maximum control of your foot posture whilst keeping your insole as low profile and easy to wear as possible. To ensure the orthoses is reflective of your foot shape your orthotist will take a cast or impression of your foot. This will then be used, in combination with a number of measurements to create your orthoses.
