Offloading insoles

Offloading insoles

Offloading insoles are made to contour the entire foot using different densities and types of materials to relieve areas of the foot at risk of excessive pressure. Allowing areas such as the arch and midfoot to accept more load that they would normally is a good technique to reducing pressure under the forefoot. Offloading insoles can also have areas of softer material, or areas where parts of the insole has been cut out, to provide extra relief for areas of high pressure.
