In order to select and create the most appropriate footwear for your requirements your orthotist will undertake a full assessment. This will include discussing your needs and wants from specialised footwear, they will also complete an assessment looking at your range of motion and condition of your feet, finally they will take a series of measurements and a draft (outline drawing) of your feet. If necessary they may also take a cast of your feet. Using this information your orthotist will be able to specify your exact requirements and will be able to provide you a selection of footwear from which you will be able to choose. Our orthotists are given the freedom of choice and can order from any suitable manufacturer this choice is then passed on to you. Once you have selected the specialised footwear you would like your information will be submitted for manufacturing. During the manufacturing process you will be required to attend a number of fittings to check the fit is correct and to allow for any alterations to be made prior to the finishing of the footwear.
